- In some cases a tooth will need a large filling that can not be restored with a routine white filling. An impression is taken of the cavity and a "porcelain inlay" made by our technicians. The inlay is bonded into the tooth producing a very strong and aesthetic result.
- Porcelain Inlays
Bonding is used as a relatively simple method of disguising small defects such as chipped or crooked teeth or gaps between teeth by providing 'instant veneers'.
So if you feel that your smile is not as great as you would like and you don't want to have more complex treatments such as porcelain veneers then dental bonding instant veneers may be right for you.
The way we do this in our local St Johns Wood practice is by preparing your teeth with a special solution, this solution allows a very strong bond to be formed with your natural tooth.

Once this has been done we use a special 'composite resin' material - very similar to those used for white fillings - to your teeth. We shape the tooth bonding resin to give a natural appearance and bond it into place with a high intensity blue light, leaving you with a new improved smile.
Because the tooth bonding procedure involves very little preparation, it does not usually need a local anaesthetic. It is also a very efficient procedure in terms of time and often only involves one appointment at our North London Practice where patient frequently travel to see us from around the central london and Hampstead area.
